Code of Conduct Supplementary Resources

(Example) Enforcement Policy Conference

An Agile Finland conference will have a designated harassment contact person or persons available during the event. The harassment contact persons will help evaluate and understand actions from the point of view of the code of conduct.

If a participant engages in harassing behaviour, event organisers retain the right to take any actions to keep the event a welcoming environment for all participants. Event organisers may take action to redress anything designed to, or with the clear impact of, disrupting the event or making the environment hostile for any participants. This includes warning the offender or expulsion from the conference with no refund. Violations may also be escalated to the relevant authorities if necessary.

The decision of what necessary steps need to be taken is on the joint agreement of the lead organiser and the harassment contact persons. People involved in the code of conduct violation or closely affiliated with the people involved in the code of conduct violation will recuse themselves from the decision-making.

We expect participants to follow these rules at all event venues and event-related social activities.

This Enforcement Policy suggests how to proceed with a code of conduct violation and Agile.fi conferences are welcome to customise it to their needs and possibilities. The applicable enforcement policy will be made available for participants in conjunction with the Agile.fi code of conduct.

(Example)  Enforcement Policy Meetup

An Agile Finland meetup will have a designated harassment contact person. The organiser may be the harassment contact person. The harassment contact person will help evaluate and understand actions from the point of view of the code of conduct.

If a participant engages in harassing behaviour or other violations of the code of conduct, event organisers retain the right to take any actions to keep the event a welcoming environment for all participants. This includes warning the offender or expulsion from the event.

This is an example of a meetup code of conduct enforcement policy and an event organiser may create their own. The applicable enforcement policy will be made available for participants in conjunction with the Agile.fi code of conduct.

(Example)   One pager

Agile Finland is a community where we strive to create safer spaces for community members to learn from each other. Oppressive or harassing language or behaviour is not allowed. If you are asked to stop, you will stop immediately. The full code of conduct is there to help you understand. If you see or experience something that is or might be a violation of the code of conduct please reach out to the organisers or directly to the harassment contact person.
